I started Finally Home Interiors after renovating our own 17th-century canal house in Amsterdam. After many years in London, we moved to the city to settle down as a family and create our dream home. What we bought was a beautiful but fragmented building, partly split into apparments and 1960-style office spaces. I wanted to restore its original charm, while creating a warm and functional home for our three young children. The process was long, detailed, and at times frustrating, and I loved every minute. It sparked something I hadn’t fully recognized before: a desire to create real, thoughtful homes for real families.
I believe a home should feel alive, lived-in and deeply personal, not just beautifully arranged on the surface. Perfectly styled spaces that don’t support real life rarely feel like home.
My work blends aesthetics with practicality: from how a kitchen flows when you unload the dishwasher, to creating a laundry space that feels calm instead of chaotic. I love finding these details, solving for them, and designing spaces that look cohesive without ever feeling bland.
