What is it?
A high-energy charity swim through Amsterdam’s canals—3,000 swimmers (plus ~250 juniors in the 750 m version) dive in to fundraise for ALS research. Since its launch in 2012 by friends raising awareness, the City Swim has raised millions and grown into a powerful community cause.

Main distances:

  • Junior Swim: ~700–750 m

  • Classic Challenge: 2.1–2.3 km through center canals from Keizersgracht to Marineterrein

Free to spectate along the route, especially near Keizersgracht and finish — some festival zone and spectators’ areas at Marineterrein require a ticket.
