What is it?
SAIL Amsterdam is a spectacular five-day maritime festival held every five years, celebrating Amsterdam's 750th anniversary. It features more than 800 ships—from historic tall ships to naval and heritage vessels—parading into and mooring at the IJ waterfront. Highlights include the opening “Sail-In” Parade, themed “Ocean” zones with entertainment, exhibitions, fireworks every evening, ship tours, concerts, cultural activities, and a grand “Sail-Out” finale.

Free public access for shore-based events. Boat tour tickets—including parade cruises, themed dining, or evening drinks—are available via official providers like Rederij de Nederlanden, Mokum, Pancake Boat, and others.
