Submission guidelines

Lead with a strong point of view
We don't publish neutral overviews. Every piece should have a clear argument, a distinct perspective, or a framework your reader can't find elsewhere. State your position early.

Make it actionable
Our readers are builders and operators. They should finish your piece with something they can use — a decision framework, a changed perspective, a concrete next step.

Write from experience, not abstraction
Ground your ideas in what you've actually done, seen, or built. Specificity earns trust. General advice without a real vantage point is not a fit for this publication.

Length and format
Expert pieces: 800–1,500 words. Submit as a plain Google Doc or Word document — no special formatting. Include a 75-word author bio and a headshot.

Exclusivity
We ask for first publication rights. Please don't submit work that has been published elsewhere, including on personal websites, LinkedIn, or Medium. After we publish, you're free to republish with attribution to House of Peregrine.

Pitch before you write
Send us a 2–3 paragraph pitch describing your argument and why you're the right person to make it. We'll respond within two weeks. If we're interested, we'll invite the full piece.
